Thank you to everyone for coming along last night to celebrate the official launch of our new bar. What a great turnout we had!! The bar got a fantastic workout and we heard lots of compliments on the great result.
We would like to thank Pete for all his hard work and dedication overseeing the whole project. We are very lucky to have him on our team. It was a big task but the renovation went like clockwork, thanks to Pete’s efforts. We also wish to thank the dignitaries who came along to the launch, and for helping us achieve this major upgrade. The dim dark 1960s bar had definitely seen better days, so this upgrade has really lifted the ‘ambiance’ of the Magill RSL. Thanks go to Di for volunteering behind the bar, keeping all our guests, dignitaries and members hydrated. Thank you to our kitchen volunteers for providing a steady flow of hot meals from the kitchen. As always, the schnitties and sides were delicious! Big thanks to the volunteers who kicked in to help out, from serving the meals, tidying up around the club room, doing dishes and everything else that needed doing, we appreciate you all. Our RSL prides itself on the way we come together and pitch in when extra hands are needed, often without needing to be asked. The committee works tirelessly, behind the scenes and everywhere else, to provide a comfortable and safe space for our guests and members, and to see others taking pride in their club by helping out warms our hearts.
Our next schnitty night will be November 13th, and we’ve got another special celebration that night. Mario’s 102nd birthday! Please be sure to book early if you’d like to come along and help celebrate Mario, our amazing WWII Veteran.
