This practical workshop will help you strengthen your confidence, knowledge and skills to identify issues early, intervene appropriately, and prevent workplace conflict from escalating.

Through this workshop, participants will learn about:

▪️ appropriate and inappropriate workplace behaviour

▪️ recognising workplace conflict, bullying, discrimination and harassment

▪️ the impact of inappropriate behaviour

▪️ risk management and the importance of early intervention

▪️ practical strategies for bringing people together to resolve conflict

Today is Wear it Purple Day, a day that highlights the importance of creating safe, inclusive and respectful communities where LGBTQIA+SB people can be themselves, free from discrimination and harassment.

This year's theme, Colours of Courage, recognises that courage can take many forms.

Courage can be found in speaking up and standing up for yourself and others, but it is also reflected in everyday actions: living authentically, asking for support, supporting others, and starting conversations, especially in environments where discussions about LGBTQIA+SB inclusion don't always happen.

No one should feel alone for being who they are. We wear purple today to show our support for LGBTQIA+SB people and our commitment to inclusion, respect, and belonging. 💜 💜 💜

Creating a respectful and inclusive workplace starts with understanding your responsibilities and taking proactive steps to prevent inappropriate behaviour. You can build your knowledge and confidence by completing the Preventing Workplace Bullying, Discrimination and Harassment workshop.

This workshop helps participants recognise unacceptable workplace behaviour, respond to concerns with confidence, and build practical skills to help create a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.

Through this workshop, participants will learn:

▪️ what workplace conflict, bullying, discrimination and harassment can look like
▪️ the risks that inappropriate behaviour poses to workplaces, individuals, and working relationships
▪️ strategies to prevent, address, and respond to inappropriate workplace behaviour

Equal Opportunity SA was proud to be at the 2026 NAIDOC SA Family Festival last Friday in Tarntanyangga / Victoria Square. 🪃☀️

It was an incredible day celebrating and sharing the work we do to promote equal opportunity in this state.

For five decades, across Australia, NAIDOC Week has celebrated the voices, culture, achievements, and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year’s theme, ‘Fifty Years of Deadly’, is a tribute to the people who have built the movement, the strength it has taken to get here, and the communities who continue to show up.

This week, as we come together, it is also an opportunity for all Australians to listen, learn and celebrate the strength, achievements, culture and advocacy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

Equal Opportunity SA will be attending the NAIDOC Family Festival at Tarntanyangga (Victoria Square) on Friday, 10 July. We look forward to joining the community in celebrating this important week.
