The estate was handed over to the University in February 1923 after the deaths of Peter and Matilda Waite in 1922.

Many thanks to the over 270 visitors who braved the cold and wet conditions on Sunday afternoon to visit Urrbrae House during our Open Doors afternoon as part of the SA History Festival.
And of course, we would not have been able to welcome so many visitors if not for our wonderful efforts of the Urrbrae House team of staff and volunteers - Allan, Bill, Denise, Helen, Kathryn, Louise, Lynette, Marylou, Michael, Nina, Steve and Tess.
