🎉 That’s a wrap on the 2026 Vinehealth Phylloxera Preparedness Exercise Series!

What a week — from the Adelaide Hills to the Limestone Coast and finishing up yesterday in McLaren Vale, Phylloxera Phil clocked some serious kilometres in the name of vine biosecurity. 🐛🍇

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us across the three regions. Your commitment to preparedness is what keeps our grape and wine industry resilient.

Until next time — stay vigilant, stay prepared. 🌿

🚨 The 2026 Vinehealth Phylloxera Preparedness Exercise Series is UNDERWAY!

We kicked things off yesterday in the Adelaide Hills — and yes, the legendary Phylloxera Phil showed up to steal the show at photo time.

The tour continues:
📍 Limestone Coast — tomorrow
📍 McLaren Vale — Friday

These exercises exist for one reason: to make sure our wine regions are ready if phylloxera ever arrives. Because preparation today means protection tomorrow.

The Vinehealth team put the all-important ‘come clean, leave clean’ protocols into practice today while attending the AgVic Phylloxera Surveillance Workshop in Victoria.

In one of these photos, you’ll see vine roots with a small yellow blob — that’s called a nodosite. 🟡 Phylloxera live and feed inside these structures, and their presence can indicate that phylloxera may be nearby. Early detection is critical to protecting our vineyards.

A big thank you to Agriculture Victoria and wineaustralia for delivering such an in-depth and informative workshop. Collaboration like this strengthens our industry’s biosecurity response.
