The Simon Gray Commemorative Auditorium & Ladies Closet

The Simon Gray Commemorative Auditorium & Ladies Closet Toliet named after a weirdo. Memberships were available by the week, by the month or by the year. Simon Gray actually bought an annual membership.

A long time ago there was this venue called Urtext, when they first started they tried to keep afloat by selling memberships to access their resources. Buying by the year was expensive, but it was cheaper in the long term as it would save you $20. Urtext felt a little guilty & offered to name part of the building after him. Eventually a small plaque was arranged & an opening ceremony held. Stan Ma

honey gave a little speech, a drum roll was performed by the drummer from visiting Japanese noise band Kill My Bleeding Smile & Simon cut a piece of rug taped in front of what was now the cubicle for femmes in the charmingly progressive Urtext unisex toilet. The Simon Gray Commemorative Auditorium & Ladies Closet (a typo, should have said water-closet) was born. Approximately a week later Urtext folded & the venue was closed to the public forever. If anyone else out there wants to make a Foursquare identity for it too, the Auditorium will thank you.
