Our state was privileged to host the AKBC and KABC Joint Meeting this week, attracting senior business leaders, industry experts and government officials from across Australia and Korea. 🌏🤝
A flagship event in the Australia and Korea bilateral relationship, holding the Joint Meeting in Adelaide forms part of the SA Government’s strategy to foster increased trade, investment, and economic cooperation with Korea.
Hosting the forum in South Australia provided the opportunity to showcase our state’s competitive advantages to influential industry and government representatives in key sectors including renewable energy and green industrialisation, energy, critical minerals, defence and space, investment, advanced manufacturing, technology and innovation.
Invest SA were proud to deliver a curated program of engagements with the Korean delegation, including an introduction to South Australia event, with Minister for State Development Chris Picton and senior SA Government representatives providing an insight into priorities and opportunities in our state, including an overview of our dynamic energy and infrastructure sectors and a session dedicated to working with the SA Government.
A highlight also included the Critical Minerals roundtable - providing the opportunity to forge key in-person connections with local project developers and senior SA Government representatives, to discover potential partnership opportunities in our state.
The Joint Meeting presented a key chance to deepen our engagement with Korea, connect businesses, and create opportunities that will benefit our two regions.
