At bedtime, while changing a nappy, or during play, talk to your little one about all the different things you do together over the day. Ask simple questions, or turn your everyday adventures into a story.

‘Remember when we got caught in the rain?’, ‘and then after lunch we went to the library!’

Pause between sentences, giving your child space to respond with their own additions, even if it’s just a smile!

These simple back-and-forth conversations are the building blocks of their development – strengthening your bond and creating lasting memories.
