19/02/2026

Inside and Out is an inspiring memoir that charts Erin Phillips’s remarkable rise from a footy mad child to a dual sport champion and AFLW pioneer. Forced to abandon football at 13, Phillips transformed adversity into opportunity, building an elite basketball career before returning to reshape women’s footy forever.

This is what staff member Rene has to say about Inside and Out by Erin Phillips:

“What elevates the memoir is her honest reflection on personal growth—navigating identity, body image, sexuality, and self-acceptance while under the spotlight of Australian sport. Her story is as much about resilience and authenticity as it is about athletic success. Powerful and deeply human, this book celebrates finding strength by embracing who you truly are.”

Join us to hear Erin Phillips OAM discuss her book in person on Thursday 19 March from 6pm to 7pm at the Salisbury Community Hub. Books will be available for purchase and signing on the night.

Tickets are $5 each or $35 with a copy of Inside and Out. Both include light refreshments. Bookings are essential at https://brnw.ch/21x04AO
