He says he's fine. But is he really OK?

It's Men's Health Week and we're asking South Australians to look a little closer β€” at the mate who's gone quiet, the dad who seems stressed, the workmate who's not quite himself.

R U OK? reminds us that two thirds of men who are struggling don't feel confident enough to ask for help. So sometimes, we have to ask first.

Head to the link ruok.org.au/mens-health-week for conversation tips and resources to help you start that talk.

Because a question really can change a life. πŸ’™

Inspiring and empowering people to meaningfully connect and lend support to the people in their world who may be struggling with life. Find conversation tips, resources and more so you can ask "are you OK?" and have a conversation that could change a life.

This week the Opposition gets to scrutinise the State budget through the Budget estimates.

We teamed up with SACOSS (South Australian Council of Social Service) and sector colleagues to examine the 2025–26 State Budget and what it means for mental health in SA.

Spoiler: there's much much more work to do.

πŸ“’ Expressions of interest are now open for our new Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG) for adults who have experienced domestic, family and sexual violence.

Following the Royal Commission's recommendations, the South Australian Government is establishing the LEAG to ensure people with lived experience have a direct voice in government decision-making β€” helping shape the policies, programs and services that matter most.

βœ… Members will meet 4 times a year
βœ… Remuneration provided for your time
βœ… Individual therapeutic and cultural supports available

To apply, you'll first need to be a member of the Lived Experience Advisory Network (LEAN). Not a member yet? Register your interest through Embolden, then apply for the LEAG.

πŸ—“οΈ Expressions of interest close Wednesday 17 June 2026 at 5:00 pm

It's Pride Month and this year's theme is Connected in Colour. 🌈

Every colour in the rainbow carries a story β€” and some of those stories take courage to carry.

Discrimination and stigma take a real toll on LGBTQIA+ mental health. This Pride Month, MHCSA stands in solidarity with every person who has ever had to fight to feel safe, seen, and supported.

You belong here. Your mental health matters here. πŸ’œ

πŸŸ‘πŸ”΄βš« This National Reconciliation Week, we're All In.

Today is the beginning of Reconciliation Week. We here at the Mental Health Coalition of South Australia believe when First Nations peoples are truly heard and supported with culturally safe care, communities heal β€” all of us are better for it.

But First Nations peoples have carried this weight for far too long. Reconciliation is everyone's responsibility. That means showing up β€” not just this week, but every day.

This week, we ask: how will you be All In? πŸ™
