It's Fave Book Friday and Selena has a classic for you this week, 'Rebecca' by Daphne du Maurier.

"Infused with genuinely surprising twists and turns, we follow our poor, unnamed protagonist's descent into the frighteningly awful married life that was once Rebecca's. Nothing is scarier than bored aristocrats!"

For Fave Book Friday this week Catherine is reviewing 'Whistler' by Ann Patchett.

"Are you looking for a gentle, feel-good read? I loved this touching family story from Ann Patchett. When Daphne unexpectedly reconnects with a man who was briefly her stepfather more than 40 years ago, they pick up their relationship as if no time had passed. Full of reminiscences from the past and reveals of long held secrets and memories, 'Whistler' is a heartwarming novel brimming with kindness, forgiveness, and the resilience of the human spirit."

It's Fave Book Friday! This week Doris is reviewing Penelope Janu's latest book 'Out of the Blue'.

"Flick Atherton is dedicated to her quiet life and work with birds until she's paired with the confident and unsettling Sebastien Thorsen on a sub Antarctic assignment. In the isolation of the Antarctic, tension turns into attraction, forcing both to face their fears. When it's over, Flick must decide if she's ready to embrace unexpected love. Alongside the developing love story, I learned about birds, flight, and the sub-Antarctic landscape with its environmental challenges. An engaging read you will definitely enjoy."

For Fave Book Friday this week Cari is reviewing 'The Rot' by Evelyn Araluen.

"'Go to the library, take your tablets.' 'The Rot' is a collection of poetry and prose that is heart wrenching, familiar, uncomfortable, and affirming. There is a lot of reflection on the current state of the world that brought a lot of things into perspective for me, and the collection will stay with me for a long time."
