📍Portugal participou na reunião extraordinária do Conselho de Governadores da Agência Internacional da Energia Atómica (AIEA), realizada a 5 de junho, em Viena.

🇵🇹🇺🇳 Enquanto membro do Conselho de Governadores da AIEA, Portugal reiterou a importância da segurança nuclear e da proteção das infraestruturas críticas.

📍Portugal participated in the extraordinary meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), held on 5 June, in Vienna.

🇵🇹🇺🇳 As a current member of the IAEA Board of Governors, Portugal reaffirmed the importance of nuclear safety and the protection of critical nuclear infrastructure.

📍On the occasion of his participation in the commemorative ceremonies marking the 81st anniversary of the liberation of the Mauthausen concentration camp, Ambassador Jorge Silva Lopes laid a wreath next to the national plaque, installed at the camp in 2017, in tribute to Portuguese victims of the National Socialist regime of all origins and beliefs.

📍Anlässlich seiner Teilnahme an den Gedenkzeremonien zum 81. Jahrestag der Befreiung des Konzentrationslagers Mauthausen legte Botschafter Jorge Silva Lopes einen Kranz neben der nationalen Gedenkplakette nieder, die 2017 im Lager angebracht wurde, zu Ehren der portugiesischen Opfer des nationalsozialistischen Regimes aller Herkunft und Glaubensrichtungen.

📍Por ocasião da sua participação no aniversário das cerimónias evocativas da 81.ª libertação do Campo de Concentração de Mauthausen, o Embaixador Jorge Silva Lopes procedeu à deposição de uma coroa de flores junto à placa nacional, instalada no campo em 2017, em homenagem aos portugueses de todas as origens e credos vítimas do regime nacional-socialista.

📍 We were pleased to attend the closing ceremony of the WSA Global Congress 2026, held on 22 May in Vienna, an international initiative within the United Nations ecosystem focused on digital solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

During the event, we had the opportunity to engage with representatives of several award-winning startups, including Amir Bozorgzadeh, cofounder of Virtuleap, a Lisbon-based company internationally recognized in the field of digital health and neurotechnology.

📍 Agradecemos o convite para estar presente na cerimónia de encerramento do WSA Global Congress 2026, realizada no dia 22 de maio, em Viena, iniciativa internacional enquadrada no ecossistema da ONU e orientada para a promoção de soluções digitais alinhadas com os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS).

Durante o evento, tivemos o grato prazer de contactar com representantes de várias startups distinguidas, incluindo Amir Bozorgzadeh, cofundador da Virtuleap, empresa sediada em Lisboa e reconhecida internacionalmente no setor da saúde digital e neurotecnologia.

📍 Estivemos presentes no diálogo informal entre a Missão Permanente da República Popular da China junto das Nações Unidas em Viena e os Chefes de Missão da União Europeia em Viena, com o objetivo de identificar interesses comuns e reforçar o diálogo na esfera multilateral, incluindo a reforma das Nações Unidas, o processo "UN80" e outros assuntos da atualidade.

📍 We took part in the informal dialogue between the Permanent Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the United Nations in Vienna and the Heads of Mission of the European Union in Vienna, with the aim of identifying common interests and strengthening dialogue in the multilateral sphere, including United Nations reform, the "UN80" process, and other current affairs.

📍 Acompanhámos, nos dias 18 e 19 de maio, as discussões da CTBTO - Organização do Tratado de Proibição Total de Ensaios Nucleares - que reuniu para debater questões relevantes na área administrativa e financeira da organização no âmbito do seu "Grupo de Trabalho A", órgão que aconselha a Comissão Preparatória da CTBTO e que reunirá este mês, igualmente em Viena.

📍 On 18 and 19 May, we followed the discussions of the CTBTO – Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organisation – which met to discuss key administrative and financial issues within the organisation as part of its "Working Group A", a body that advises the CTBTO Preparatory Commission and which will meet this month, also in Vienna.

No final, teremos a possibilidade de trocar impressões e debater ideias com a realizadora. O filme está legendado em inglês e a entrada é livre! São todos bem-vindos!

📍 Am 10. Juni begeht der Fachbereich Romanistik der Universität Salzburg den Portugiesischen Tag mit der Vorführung des Films von Marta Pessoa: „Rosinha e outros bichos do mato“ (Produktion: Três Vinténs).

Im Anschluss besteht die Möglichkeit, sich mit der Regisseurin auszutauschen und zu diskutieren. Der Film ist englisch untertitelt und der Eintritt ist frei! Alle sind herzlich willkommen!

📍 On 10 June, the Department of Romance Studies at the University of Salzburg is celebrating Portuguese Day with a screening of Marta Pessoa’s film: “Rosinha e outros bichos do mato” (produced by Três Vinténs).

Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to chat and discuss the film with the director. The film is subtitled in English and admission is free! Everyone is warmly welcome!

🕊️ Hoje homenageamos os soldados da força de paz da ONU, os heróis que salvam vidas e constroem a paz em todo o mundo. Portugal contribui com orgulho para estas missões desde 1958, quando participou na sua primeira operação de manutenção da paz da ONU. Um legado de empenho que se mantém até aos dias de hoje.
