Beloved Vlora Taxi service driver
May you rest in peace Andi Roshi.
From: Francine Talei Wong
I am sad and deeply heartbroken to write this post today , farewelling my dearest friend , Andi. The kind and social taxi driver of Vlora.
Andi was my taxi driver from 2020 until he passed .
But before a driver , he was a loyal friend.
A long beautiful 5 year friendship.
Every Sunday for many years, Andi was up early to pick and drop me at Kisha Orthodox in Vlora.
We shared laughter and everyday life stories, and Andi was always a kind hearted man that loved sharing any updates about his family and life in general.
One particular day , we spoke about his health, and how he needed to take great care of his heart condition and food diet.
We laughed and Andi always said “Francine whenever you call , I am here, always !”.
Andi was my most trusted driver and friend, through my good days and my hard days as a foreigner living in Vlora.
Andi would collect all the magazines that had my article , and kept it in his back seat to share with clients and tourists he would pick from Tirana airport.
He loved that I appreciated the struggles of Vlora , and Andi was a big part of making days brighter for you!
He would always say, “Francine Vlora is home, and I will live here forever! And this is your home too .”
As a foreigner, my memories and lessons lie in the heart of this city.
I’m truly grateful to you Andi, Mario his son and everyone that a part of Andi’s service as a taxi driver in Vlora.
Earlier this year , when I joined Blu Tv, I asked Andi to help me understand the life and struggles of taxi drivers , the problems and solutions!
He was happy to help and proud to contribute to Blu TV’s segment on traffic control.
Thank you Andi , for the greatest memories.
Tomorrow is promised to no one , and today I farewell your spirt Andi.
Rest in Gods peace and thank you for the journey.
