Morocco will waive visa requirements for Albanian citizens traveling to the Kingdom for short-term stays, according to a notification sent by the Moroccan Embassy accredited to Albania and based in Rome to Albania’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The measure takes effect on August 15, 2026. It follows a commitment made by the two countries in a Joint Declaration signed on March 1, 2025, during the official visit of Albania’s then-Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, to Morocco.
The declaration was signed by Hasani and Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita. The two sides said at the time that they wanted to strengthen cooperation in political, economic, trade and cultural fields.
