The Black Bag | A Story of Racism

Every day, people are judged not for who they are, but for the color of their skin. The Black Bag follows Rami, a Romani man, as he faces the harsh reality of prejudice and discrimination.

This short film is part of our work at Pandezohu, together with the European Roma Rights Centre (ERRC), to fight racism and hate speech against Roma communities.

July 6 - Project RISE
Training & Team Building

Day 2 of the Project RISE training and team-building session took us to the sunny Llogara.

The team engaged in interactive games and meaningful discussions by the sea. The focus was on:
✅ Finalizing the timeline for completing our audiovisual content
✅ Structuring our research outputs on online hate speech
✅ Ensuring alignment and clarity on next steps before the project closes in September

With a group lunch and a reflective afternoon session, the day ended with renewed motivation and team spirit.

Together, we are building resilience against hate speech.

July 5 – Project RISE Training & Team Building Begins!

The first day of our two-day training and team-building retreat took place in the beautiful surroundings of Llogara, Albania.

The Pandezohu team came together for a productive training session, where we discussed:

🎥 The progress of our 10 resilience videos
📊 Planning the research report and the upcoming 4 informative videos
🎬 Ideas and structure for the animated video on institutional hate speech

In the afternoon, we held outdoor team-building games and wrapped up the evening with a cozy fireside reflection session, sharing ideas, music, and laughter.

A day full of collaboration, creativity, and positive energy! 💪🔥

Festival Folklorik i Pakicave Kombëtare në Butrint

Në Amfiteatrin e Butrintit u zhvillua Festivali Folklorik i 2-të i Pakicave Kombëtare, organizuar nga Shoqata “Shën Kosmai” me mbështetjen e Komitetit për Pakicat Kombëtare.

Né skené performuan 9 pakica kombetare me valle, muzike dhe veshje tradicionale, duke sjellë ngiyrat e kulturave te tyre:

- Pakica Rome
- Pakica Egjiptiane
- Pakica Maqedonase
- Pakica Malazeze
- Pakica Bullgare
- Pakica Greke
- Pakica Serbe
- Pakica Boshnjake
- Pakica Arumune

Në këtë event kaq madheshtor grupi “Pandezohu” prezantoi dënjësisht Kulturën, Traditat dhe Historinë e pakicës Rome në Shqipëri.

Një festë e vërtetë e diversitetit, bashkëjetesës dhe trashëgimisë kulturore në Shqipëri!

Under the RISE project, Be Panda successfully trained 11 amazing volunteers on Anti-Gypsyism and Countering Online Hate Speech!

📅 On November 9-10, at the RVA-Organization Office in Tirana, our selected volunteers learned how to: ✔️ Identify and understand online hate speech
✔️ Recognize its impact on marginalized communities
✔️ Develop respectful and effective counterarguments
✔️ Create safer, more inclusive online spaces

These young changemakers are now ready to stand against hate and build a more respectful digital world! 🌍❤️
