Peace Process....
The people of Afghanistan are distrustful of
the peace process due to killing innocent people, destroying public properties and Fear and intimidation which remain in the minds of the people. Firstly, Afghan people think that if someone can kill innocent people like new born babies, clean hearted kids, pregnant mothers, very old men and women and civilians, how they do Peace. What will be their answers for the Survivors of war victims. Secondly, those who destroy public properties like hospitals, education centers, clinics, roads and etc. how they will justifies their actions. Thirdly, those who has no believe in their thoughts and says, those who says they are the real Muslim but they detonate bombs in mosques and kills the Imam and his followers and remains fear and intimidation in the minds of the people. How they do Peace. So, in such situation signing a Peace agreement has no meaning, it would be a kind of hitting the soil in people’s eyes. In current situation I see the need and suggest the following points for Afghanistan government, The United States of America and stakeholders and involved countries in Afghanistan situation:
1. Decrease of violence should be explained clearly. It means they should promise and promulgated against international observers and reputable media that they don’t kill innocent people, new born babies, kids, women and old people and civilians. They should promise they don’t destroy public properties like hospitals, education centers, schools, universities, roads, clinics, kindergartens and etc. they should promise and promulgate that don’t kill public people and they don’t create fear and intimidation.
2. The both parties need to make ready the people for accepting peace. Peace is not a short time process, both parties need to work on the mind of their followers, Particularly, Talib needs to work on this much more than Afghan government.
3. The peace cannot start from up to down, the peace starts from down to up, it means, peace should be started from each and every small villages, districts then comes bigger and national.
4. The United Nations, The United States, The world Bank need to invest on public awareness programs, on Peace discussion programs and on national and international events to make this peace process success.
5. All involved countries, stakeholders, and both parties need to be in same track to make this happen (Peace).
To sum up, everyone needs a piece of peace, peace brings happiness, prosperity, security, economic. If a peace agreement doesn’t brings these things, then it is not a peace agreement.
If the world’s people should support and help and cooperate one another instead of destroying, the world would a better place. Thank you! Regards, Yousufzada
