Sharjah Museums هيئة الشارقة للمتاحف Established in 2006 by His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member

The Sharjah Museums Department (SMD) was established in 2006 by His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, as an independent government department. Sharjah Museums includes 16 museums covering Islamic art and culture, archaeology, heritage, science, marine life and the history of Sharjah and the region. The purpose of the Sharjah Museums Depa

rtment is to be a cultural beacon that enhances Sharjah’ s identity locally and internationally and contribute in nurturing a community aware of museums’ importance as a cultural, educational and enjoyable destination.

في إطار حرصها على تعزيز صحة موظفيها , وجودة حياتهم، نظمت هيئة الشارقة للمتاحف، بالتعاون مع مؤسسة الإمارات للخدمات الصحية، مبادرة “اطمئنان” التي أتاحت للموظفين الاستفادة من الفحوصات الصحية والتوعية بأهمية الكشف المبكر والوقاية.

“صحة أفضل اليوم... لمستقبل أكثر اطمئنانا”ً.



As part of its commitment to promoting employee wellbeing and enhancing quality of life, Sharjah Museums Authority, in collaboration with Emirates Health Services, organised the “Itmenan” initiative, offering employees access to health screenings and raising awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention.⁩

في اليوم العالمي للمحيطات، اجتمع التعلّم والاستكشاف في مربى الشارقة للأحياء المائية من خلال جولة في المربى وجلسة نقاشية حول التصوير تحت الماء.
وسلّطت الجلسة الضوء على أفضل الممارسات لتوثيق الحياة البحرية بمسؤولية، ودور التصوير في إبراز جمال محيطاتنا وتعزيز الوعي بأهمية الحفاظ عليها.



On World Oceans Day, learning and exploration came together at Sharjah Aquarium through a guided aquarium tour and a panel discussion on underwater photography.
The discussion highlighted best practices for documenting marine life responsibly, as well as the role of photography in showcasing the beauty of our oceans and raising awareness about the importance of protecting them.⁩
