Road widening should make our roads safer, not create another hazard.

Maganda ang development, pero hindi sapat na matapos lang ang project. Dapat may proper planning, coordination, at safety assessment lalo na kung may poste na naiwan sa mismong roadway.

Good governance is not just about completing projects. It’s about making sure those projects are safe and truly serve the public.

Development should move forward but safety should never be left behind.

Work safely today so you can live fully tomorrow.

Safety is not just about surviving the shift, it’s about protecting the life waiting for us beyond the workplace. Every safe choice today gives us another tomorrow to enjoy with the people and dreams that matter most.

Work safe. Go home safe. Live fully.

BAHA ALERT! 🌧️🌊

Stay safe, stay alert, and look after one another. 🙏🇵🇭

Community Safety Awareness 🌧️

A photo from 2016. A mission that never stopped.

Looking back at this photo reminds me that safety advocacy is not something that started yesterday.

For the past nine years, I have been proposing initiatives to help improve occupational safety, health, environmental protection, and community safety in the City of Makati. Many of those proposals were not given the opportunity to move forward, and I was not given the chance to implement them for the City.

But I never stopped believing that safety deserves a place in local governance not only to protect workers, but also businesses, families, and the communities surrounding our workplaces.

Today, I am happy to see that its importance is beginning to receive greater attention. Whether I am the one given the opportunity to do it or someone else does it is secondary. What matters most is that our workers are protected, our establishments become safer, our environment is cared for, and our communities are protected from preventable risks.

Advocacy is not about who gets the credit.
It is about continuing to speak until something meaningful begins to change.

I may have been unheard before, but I will continue to advocate, contribute, and offer solutions whenever given the opportunity.

Safety has always been the mission not the recognition.

Safe Workers. Safe Workplaces. Safe Communities. A Safer Makati.

> Looking back...

This photo was taken during the COVID-19 pandemic while we were conducting our duties despite the uncertainties and risks of that time.

It reminds me that being a public servant means showing up when people need you most. Safety, health, and public service never stop even during a global crisis.

I am grateful to have served alongside dedicated colleagues who chose responsibility over fear. Together, we did our part to protect our community and ensure the continuity of essential public services.

To the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE): Your leadership and support can help bring fairness to the future of healthcare professionals.

They care for patients. They learn. They serve.
Yet many healthcare interns continue to render long hours without pay and in some cases, shoulder the costs of their own training.

This is not about diminishing the value of clinical education. It is about asking a simple question:

Can we build a system that is both educational and fair?

We respectfully call on the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), together with the relevant government agencies, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities, to review existing internship policies and explore ways to better protect and support our future healthcare professionals.

Our interns deserve the opportunity to learn with dignity.
