✨ Reflections: Modern & Contemporary Art from the Villain Collection

The Institut français in the UAE was delighted to attend the opening of “Reflections”—an exhibition spotlighting artists from the Levant and North Africa, while also celebrating the local Emirati art scene through a remarkable selection of works from the private collection of Jean-Paul and Fairouz Villain.

🙏 The evening was honoured by the presence of HH Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan.

Le lundi 16 février 2026, le Consul général de France et la Directrice de l’Institut français des Émirats arabes unis ont eu le plaisir de participer à la célébration du 12ᵉ anniversaire de Le Petit Poucet, école maternelle française membre du réseau AEFE.

Depuis 12 ans, l’établissement accompagne les plus jeunes dans leurs premiers apprentissages, au cœur d’un environnement plurilingue et interculturel, et contribue au rayonnement de l’enseignement français aux Émirats.

On Monday, February 16, 2026, the Consul General of France and the Director of the Institut français of the United Arab Emirates had the pleasure of attending the celebration of the 12th anniversary of Le Petit Poucet, a French preschool and a member of the AEFE network.

For 12 years, the school has supported young learners in their first steps, in a multilingual and intercultural environment, and has contributed to promoting French education across the UAE.

Students from Delhi Private School, Sharjah stepped into the kitchen for an exciting French Cooking Competition 🇫🇷
On the menu: ratatouille, crêpes, French toast, and other iconic French specialties!

The jury, made up of members from the Institut français UAE and the Alliance Française de Sharjah , assessed the students’ culinary skills, plate presentation, and menu creativity.

👏 A big thank you to all our young chefs, and special thanks to Ms. Vandana Marwaha, Ms. Adeeba, and Mr. Pannerselvam from for their warm welcome.

🔹 From November 10 to 20, 2025, the Institut français in the UAE, together with the Business France Middle East teams, welcomed 12 companies selected for the French government’s ICC Immersion program, which aims to foster international partnerships and support the international expansion of French companies in the creative and cultural industries.

During this immersion week, the companies explored the cultural and creative ecosystems of the United Arab Emirates.
