The practical examination marked the final stage of the UAE Boxing Federation Level 1 Coaching Course, with 21 coaches required to demonstrate their ability to apply what they had learned in a real coaching environment.

This is how we raise the standard of coaching in the UAE: through education, assessment and qualification.

The UAE Boxing Federation extends its appreciation to Dr. Yasa Albloushi, Dr. Abd Elrahman Ahmed and Dr. Ayesha Hamad Al Hajri for their valuable contribution as instructors during the UAE Boxing Federation Level 1 Coaching Course.

Together with Head Coach Mohammed Alshebli, they brought specialist knowledge across boxing education, sports injuries, prevention and management, sports nutrition and practical training.

Developing qualified coaches means building knowledge that goes beyond technique, with athlete performance, safety and wellbeing at the heart of the coaching standard.

Understanding the sport.
Day 2 began with Boxing Education & Sport Theory, developing the technical knowledge coaches need to teach, communicate and develop athletes effectively.

The Sports Nutrition session focused on the role nutrition plays in athlete preparation, performance and recovery, giving coaches a broader understanding of athlete development.

From knowledge to application.
Coaches took the theory into the gym for practical boxing training, working through technique, instruction and the practical skills required to coach athletes effectively.

Better coaches create better environments. Better environments develop better athletes. And stronger foundations build the champions of tomorrow.

Raising the standard.
Through education, practical training and professional development, the UAE Boxing Federation is working to create stronger and more consistent coaching standards across boxing in the UAE.

Good coaching is not only about knowing boxing. It is about understanding how to communicate technique, identify mistakes and help an athlete improve.
