ضمن جهود أبوظبي المتواصلة لتقديم رعاية شخصية تراعي احتياجات المرضى وإتاحة أحدث الابتكارات العلاجية ذات الأثر الملموس، أعلنت دائرة الصحة - أبوظبي، عن تحقيق إنجاز عالمي جديد، مع تقديم علاج كاميزسترانت ضمن الممارسة السريرية في معهد برجيل للأورام، لتصبح أبوظبي بذلك هي الأولى عالمياً في تقديم هذا العلاج المبتكر.
يستخدم هذا العلاج الأكثر تخصيصاً ودقة للمرضى الذين تطور لديهم سرطان الثدي المرتبط بالطفرة الجينية ESR1 قبل ظهور علامات واضحة على تقدم المرض، بما يساهم في السيطرة على السرطان لفترة أطول، وتأخير تقدمه، والحفاظ على جودة حياة المرضى.
ويعكس هذا الإنجاز مكانة أبوظبي كوجهة عالمية رائدة للرعاية الصحية التخصصية وطب الأورام التدقيق، ونهجها في التركيز على الوقاية والتدخل المبكر وتقديم رعاية أكثر تخصيصاً ودقة للمرضى.
As part of Abu Dhabi’s ongoing efforts to deliver personalised care that responds to patients’ needs and enables access to the latest therapeutic innovations with tangible impact, the Department of Health Abu Dhabi has announced a new global milestone with the administration of Camizestrant in a clinical care setting at Burjeel Cancer Institute, making Abu Dhabi the first globally to provide this innovative treatment.
This more targeted and precise therapy is used for patients whose advanced breast cancer is associated with an ESR1 gene mutation, before clear signs of disease progression appear. It may help control cancer for longer, delay disease progression and preserve patients’ quality of life.
This milestone reflects Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global destination for specialised care and precision oncology, as well as its approach focused on prevention, early intervention and delivering more personalised and precise care for patients.
