بمناسبة يوم المرأة الإماراتية، يطلق المركز الوطني لعلوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء، بالتعاون مع إدارة شؤون الخريجين وعمادة الحياة الطلابية في جامعة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، مبادرة «أثر»، لإتاحة الفرصة لطالبات الجامعة لخوض تجربة الملازمة المهنية والتعرّف عن قرب على بيئة العمل والمسارات المهنية المتنوعة في قطاع الفضاء.

لأن كل تجربة قد تترك أثراً… وكل أثر قد يكون بداية لطموح أكبر.

One day can inspire an entire future.

In celebration of Emirati Women’s Day, the National Space Science and Technology Center, in collaboration with Center for Career Placement & Alumni and The Division of Students' Life Deanship at UAE University, launched Athar a job-shadowing initiative that gives female students the opportunity to experience the workplace firsthand and explore diverse career paths within the space sector.

Because every experience can leave an impact and every impact can inspire a bigger ambition.

تتحدث فاطمة هلال الغيثي، مهندسة برمجيات القطاع الأرضي في مشروع LEONAV، عن تجربتها في الانتقال من العمل على أقمار مراقبة الأرض إلى مجال تقنيات الملاحة عبر الأقمار الاصطناعية، وما حملته الرحلة من تحديات وفرص للتعلم والتطور.

ومن تطوير الأنظمة إلى تشغيل المحطة الأرضية، كان التعاون والتعلم المستمر جزءًا أساسيًا من الوصول إلى كل محطة في رحلة LEONAV.

Fatima Hilal Al Ghaithi, Ground Segment Software Engineer on the LEONAV project, reflects on her journey from working on Earth observation satellites to exploring satellite navigation technologies, and the challenges and learning opportunities along the way.

From system development to ground station operations, continuous learning and teamwork played a key role in reaching every milestone of the LEONAV journey.

يستعرض شهاب فواز، مهندس التجميع والتكامل والاختبارات (AIT) في مشروع LEONAV، تجربته في التعامل مع مجالات تقنية جديدة، ودوره في اختبار وتكامل أنظمة القمر، وصولًا إلى المراحل التي قرّبت الفريق من الإطلاق.

تجربة تؤكد أن التعلم المستمر جزء أساسي من صناعة الإنجاز في قطاع الفضاء.

Shehab Fawaz, AIT Engineer on the LEONAV project, reflects on his experience working across new technical areas and supporting the assembly, integration, and testing of the satellite as the team moved closer to launch.

A journey that highlights how continuous learning is an essential part of building success in the space sector.

Sheikha AlKaabi, Payload Engineer on the LEONAV project, shares her experience of working within an ambitious timeline, overcoming challenges as a team, and integrating the satellite’s systems to transform an ambitious vision into a real space mission.

رحلة أكدت لها أن الطموح وحده لا يكفي، وأن العمل الجماعي والالتزام هما ما يصنعان الفرق.

Fatima Al Neyadi, LEONAV’s Payload Engineer, shares part of her journey, from the challenges of developing the satellite and meeting the requirements at every stage of the project, to the moment she saw it fully assembled and ready for launch.

A journey that taught her that ambition alone is not enough; teamwork and dedication are what make the difference.
