| Nemarundwi Primary School

Construction of the Early Childhood Development (ECD) block at Nemarundwi Primary School is progressing well, following the allocation of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) resources towards the purchase of roofing materials and other essential building supplies.

The project builds on earlier contributions of building materials, including cement, mobilised through support from colleagues. The subsequent CDF allocation has enabled further progress towards completing the block.

This development reflects our continued commitment to improving school infrastructure and creating a safe, conducive learning environment for our youngest learners.

As Masvingo North, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that advance access to quality education and contribute to the national development agenda under Vision 2030, championed by His Excellency, President Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.

Together, we continue building a better future for our communities.

PAYING OUR LAST RESPECTS

Yesterday, Hon. Brian Mudumi accompanied the Hon. Minister of State for National Security, Senator Lovemore Matuke, to pay their last respects to the late Sir Wicknell Chivhayo and his wife, Mrs Lucy Muteke Chivhayo.

Sir Wicknell was a remarkable son of the soil whose entrepreneurial spirit, generosity and influence extended beyond Zimbabwe. His selflessness touched many lives, from musicians and artists to churches and communities across the country.

His passing is a great loss to Zimbabwe. We remember a man who lived a life of hard work, giving and uplifting others.

Go well, Son of the Soil. Makarwa k***a kwakanaka, Gono Chirandu.

May the souls of Sir Wicknell Chivhayo and Mrs Lucy Muteke Chivhayo rest in eternal peace.

Today, we shine the spotlight on our talented young footballers from different wards across Masvingo North!

Sport is more than just a game — it creates opportunities, builds discipline, promotes teamwork and provides our young people with a positive environment to develop their talents while staying away from drugs and substance abuse.

Let’s continue supporting and creating opportunities for our youth to grow, compete and realise their potential. 💪⚽

MARAH PRIMARY SCHOOL: BRINGING EDUCATION CLOSER TO OUR CHILDREN

Yesterday, we were in Marah, Ward 8C, where Hon. Brian Mudumi was represented by Cde Mutizwa, engaging with community members and learners from Bikita Minerals Primary, Mutendi Primary, Shenjere Primary and Bumba Primary School in Gutu.

For many children from Marah, accessing education has meant walking approximately 8 kilometres to school and another 8 kilometres back home each day. This long journey has placed a considerable burden on learners, taking valuable time and energy that could otherwise be dedicated to learning.

The completion of Marah Primary School is therefore a significant development for the community. Once officially opened, the school will bring education closer to children in Marah, substantially reducing the distances they have had to travel and providing them with a more accessible learning environment.

As part of the education support initiative, more than 5,000 books were donated, ensuring that learners have essential learning materials, alongside 200 pairs of school shoes to support their participation and school experience.

We also extended support to elderly citizens and persons with disabilities, distributing approximately 60 blankets and mosquito nets to community members aged 70 and above. The items were received from Ding Zhou.

These interventions reflect the broader vision of President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030—bringing development closer to communities, improving livelihoods and ensuring that no one and no place is left behind.

Development Reaching Our Communities ⚡

A significant step forward for Zimuto as electricity is extended from Gurajena to Chiwenga Primary School, bringing reliable power closer to our communities.

Electricity access has been a recurring concern raised by residents during community engagements. This development responds to that need and contributes to improved access to essential services, education and rural infrastructure.

As Masvingo North continues to develop, we appreciate every initiative that brings services closer to our people and advances inclusive rural development.

Last week, we visited six schools in Masvingo North, where we donated various building materials purchased through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). The schools included Nemarundwi, Marongere, Zvido, Boroma, and others.

This initiative is in line with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030, which seeks to promote inclusive development and improve the livelihoods of Zimbabweans.
