THE WAR AGAINST CULTURAL EROSION: Reclaiming Our Identity๐ฟ๐ผ
Globalization and migration have brought the world closer together, but for Africa, this closeness has come at a heavy cost , there is the erosion of our cultural identity.
Across the continent, and Zimbabwe is no exception, many young people are growing up disconnected from their roots, unsure of their languages, customs, and values. This is nothing short of an identity crisis.
It is against this backdrop that I want to extend heartfelt gratitude to Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa for her tireless efforts in reviving and teaching our culture to this generation. Her initiatives are more than programs as they are a lifeline reconnecting Zimbabweans to who we truly are.
Through her work, our people are rediscovering the essence of Ubuntu , the spirit of togetherness, compassion, and shared humanity that has always defined us. This cultural renewal has the power to unite Zimbabweans across all walks of life, reminding us that our strength lies in our shared heritage.
As we reclaim our traditions, our languages, and our values, Zimbabweans will stand proudly and be easily recognized on the international stage โ not as a people who lost themselves to globalization, but as a nation rooted firmly in its identity.
Thank you, Amai Mnangagwa, for leading this vital work. Our culture is our compass, and you are helping guide us home. ๐ฟ๐ผ
