As one of the youngest Members of Parliament, Hon. Kawinaโs journey is a powerful testament to the impact of public health leadership in shaping national development. A seasoned public health professional, epidemiologist, and development advocate. He brings over a decade of experience dedicated to strengthening health systems and improving health outcomes across Zambia.
With academic grounding in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics and ongoing doctoral studies in Global Infectious Diseases, his expertise spans public health programming, monitoring and evaluation, digital health, and the advancement of health information systems, including electronic health records.
As a proud son of Solwezi, his election marks a significant moment, not only for the constituency but for the public health community at large. His vision for people-centred development, resilient health systems, youth empowerment, improved infrastructure, and accountable governance reflects the very values we uphold as a profession.
