SERENJE CDFC EXPRESSES GRATITUDE TO HON. GEORGE KANDAFULA

The Serenje Constituency Development Fund Committee (CDFC) has expressed sincere gratitude to Hon. George Kandafula for finding them worthy to serve the good people of Serenje Constituency through various developmental programs and community initiatives.

The committee acknowledged the confidence and trust Hon. Kandafula placed in them to contribute towards the growth and transformation of the constituency through the effective implementation of CDF projects.

Parliament Extends Sittings to Clear Business

The National Assembly of Zambia has extended its sittings to allow Parliamentarians to conclude a large volume of outstanding business before adjourning sine die on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

The extended sittings will include Saturday and Sunday, starting at 10:00.

Acting Clerk of the National Assembly LOVENESS MAYAKA says the suspension of Standing Orders will enable Parliament to sit outside the prescribed days and times.

In a statement released to ZNBC News, Ms. MAYAKA said sittings may also go beyond the usual adjournment time, including past 23:00 where necessary.

She said Parliamentarians will be expected to consider more than one stage of a Bill in a single sitting.

Yesterday, 26th April 2026, was a joyful and exciting day in Lupiya Ward as seven (7) teams competed in the finals of the football and netball tournament. The event showcased not only talent but unity and sportsmanship among our young people.

Congratulations to all the teams that participated and made the tournament a success. Special kudos to Kabundi FC for emerging winners in football and carrying the trophy, while Lupiya Netball Team triumphed in netball.

Together, we continue to support and uplift our youth through sports and community engagement.
