PRESIDENT HICHILEMA CONCLUDES TWO-DAY WORKING VISIT TO WESTERN PROVINCE IN SENANGA DISTRICT
Republican President Mr. Hakainde Hichilema has today addressed residents of Senanga District, marking the successful conclusion of his two-day working visit to Western Province.
Earlier in the day, the President held public engagements in Shangombo, Nalolo and Limulunga districts, where he interacted with members of the public on Government programmes, national priorities and ongoing efforts to improve the welfare of citizens.
Addressing the gathering in Senanga, President Hichilema reaffirmed Government's commitment to accelerating development across Western Province through sustained investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, employment creation and economic empowerment.
The President highlighted several key development initiatives for the Province, including the construction of a modern market in Senanga, continued works on the Senanga–Mata Road, the improvement of health facilities, enhanced mobile network connectivity, the completion of Lewanika University, and the upgrading of Mongu Airport into an international airport to unlock the Province's economic and tourism potential.
He further emphasized that Government remains committed to ensuring that every district benefits from national development and that no community will be left behind as Zambia advances its socio-economic transformation agenda.
President Hichilema thanked the people of Western Province for the warm reception accorded to him throughout his two-day working visit and encouraged them to continue supporting Government programmes aimed at improving livelihoods and fostering national development.
The President has since concluded his two-day working visit to Western Province, during which he engaged communities in Sesheke, Mulobezi, Mwandi, Shangombo, Nalolo, Limulunga and Senanga districts, listening to their concerns while outlining Government's vision for inclusive development and shared prosperity.
