Courtesy Call to Solwezi College of Education

As part of its ongoing investor education programme in North-Western Province, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) paid a courtesy call to Solwezi College of Education.

Led by Mr. Jacob Likonge, Officer – Financial Inclusion and Education, the SEC team met with the Vice Principal and conducted a financial literacy session for students and staff. The session covered the fundamentals of capital markets, collective investment schemes, investor protection, and practical approaches to enhancing financial literacy.

The engagement forms part of the SEC's broader efforts to promote financial literacy among young people and equip future professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed financial decisions. Through such initiatives, the Commission continues to foster a culture of informed investing and financial responsibility across the country.
