NATIONAL CIVIL SOCIETY CONSULTATION ON THE 2026 HLM
On the 27th of April 2026, UNAIDS Zambia in collaboration with the National HIV/AIDS/STI/TB Council Zambia convened a National Civil Society Consultative meeting on the upcoming 2026 HIV/AIDS Response High Level Meeting. A strong Civil Society participation indicated a country's commitment and efforts in the HIV response.
Some of key outcomes included:
• Recognition of Zambia’s progress in the 95-95-95 HIV response Target.
• Ongoing preparations for the 2026 High-Level Meeting
• Programme alignment with the upcoming Global AIDS Strategy (2026–2031)
• Agreement on three strategic priorities:
1. Sustaining the HIV Response
2. Promoting People-Centred Services
3. Strengthening Community Leadership
