NOMINATION CENTRES OPEN FOR CHINSALI CENTRAL AND CHILINDA CONSTITUENCIES

Nomination centres for the Chinsali Central and Chilinda Constituency Parliamentary seats are now open to receive nominations from National Assembly aspiring candidates.

The centres were officially opened at Chinsali Civic Centre and Kaso Primary School by Chinsali Central Constituency Returning Officer Kingsley Kabengele and Chilinda Constituency Returning Officer Chomba P**e.

In Chinsali Central Constituency, two aspiring candidates successfully field their nominations at Chinsali Civic Centre. Chanda Mwansa of National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) and Christopher Chiponde of the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND). The District Electoral Officer, Mr. Zakeyo Mbao witnessed the exercise at the Civic Centre.

In Chillinda Constituency, Mukosa Kalalwe Andrew, the National Reconciliation party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) candidate, Lucy Mukuka of the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) and Sampa Francis Caspian, an independent candidate, successfully filed their nominations during the designated nomination period.

The day concluded incident-free in both constituencies.
