Bela Bela is meer as net 'n plek op 'n kaart. Dis waar ons kinders grootword, waar ons besighede werk skep, waar ons familie woon en waar ons ons toekoms bou.

Ons glo nie ons dorp moet agteruitgaan nie. Ons glo Bela Bela kan weer 'n dorp wees waarop elke inwoner trots is.

Dit gaan nie net oor 'n verkiesing nie. Dit gaan oor die soort dorp wat ons vir onsself en vir die volgende geslag wil nalaat.

Who is BBA?
We are the people who remember when Bela Bela was a town everyone spoke proudly about.
We remember clean streets, working streetlights, beautiful parks, thriving businesses, and neighbours who looked out for one another. We remember a town that welcomed visitors with pride and where families dreamed of building their future.
Like many residents, we've watched our town change over the years, and we've often asked ourselves, "Surely we can do better?"
BBA was born from that question.
We are not just another political party. We are a community-driven movement of residents, business owners, parents, young people, retirees, professionals, and community members who all share one thing in common: a deep love for Bela Bela.

Wie is BBA?
Ons is die mense wat onthou toe Bela Bela 'n dorp was waarop almal trots was.
Ons onthou skoon strate, werkende straatligte, netjiese parke, florerende besighede en bure wat na mekaar omgesien het. Ons onthou 'n dorp wat besoekers met trots verwelkom het en waar gesinne met hoop aan hul toekoms gebou het.
Soos baie inwoners het ons oor die jare gesien hoe ons dorp verander, en ons het onsself dikwels afgevra: "Ons kan tog beter doen as dit?"
BBA is uit daardie vraag gebore.
Ons is nie net nóg 'n politieke party nie. Ons is 'n gemeenskapsgedrewe beweging van inwoners, sakelui, ouers, jongmense, afgetredenes, professionele persone en gemeenskapslede wat almal een ding in gemeen het: 'n diep liefde vir Bela Bela.
Ons glo ons dorp verdien leierskap wat luister, dien en aanspreeklik is. Ons glo ons kinders verdien om in 'n dorp groot te word waarop hulle trots kan wees. Ons glo dat ons saam die trots, hoop en gemeenskapsgees wat Bela Bela eens gekenmerk het, kan herstel.
Dit gaan nie oor een persoon nie. Dit gaan nie oor politiek ter wille van politiek nie.
Dit gaan oor ons dorp. Ons gesinne. Ons toekoms.
As Bela Bela 'n spesiale plek in jou hart het, dan is jy reeds deel van die rede waarom BBA bestaan.

🤔 A question that may be uncomfortable... but one that needs to be asked.

For years, many of us in Bela Bela have voted for the same political parties.

But take a moment and look back honestly...

💧 Has your vote solved the water problems?
🕳️ Has your vote made the potholes disappear?
💡 Has your vote fixed the streetlights?
🚛 Has your vote improved waste management?
🏛️ Has your vote resulted in better accountability?

Or are we simply voting out of habit because that’s how we’ve always voted?

The truth is that municipal elections are not about what happens in Pretoria.
They are about what happens in Bela Bela.

Your water does not come from Pretoria.
Your streetlights are not repaired in Polokwane.
Your potholes are not fixed by national leaders.

These issues are solved by people who live here, work here, and are accountable here.

Perhaps the most important question is not:

❌ “Which party do I support?”

But rather:

✅ “What kind of Bela Bela do I want to see in five years’ time?”

Vir jare stem ons as inwoners van Bela Bela vir dieselfde partye.

Maar kyk vir 'n oomblik eerlik terug...

💧 Het jou stem die waterprobleme opgelos?
🕳️ Het jou stem die slaggate laat verdwyn?
💡 Het jou stem die straatligte laat werk?
🚛 Het jou stem die vullisprobleme verbeter?
🏛️ Het jou stem gelei tot beter verantwoordbaarheid?

Of stem ons bloot uit gewoonte omdat ons nog altyd so gestem het?

Die waarheid is dat munisipale verkiesings nie gaan oor wat in Pretoria gebeur nie.
Dit gaan oor wat in Bela Bela gebeur.

Jou water kom nie uit Pretoria nie.
Jou straatligte word nie in Polokwane reggemaak nie.
Jou slaggate word nie deur nasionale leiers herstel nie.

Dit word opgelos deur mense wat hier woon, hier werk en hier aanspreeklik is.

Miskien is die belangrikste vraag nie:

❌ "Vir watter party stem ek?"

Maar eerder:

✅ "Watter soort Bela Bela wil ek oor vyf jaar sien?"

Lees gerus die plakkaat en deel jou eerlike mening:

👉 Wat het jou stem die afgelope 10 jaar werklik vir jou en jou gesin beteken?
👉 Wat is die EEN ding wat jy wens die munisipaliteit reg moet kry?
👉 D**k jy plaaslike partye kan 'n verskil maak, of nie?

Hou die gesprek respekvol. Ons wil luister.
