The Able Leadership Movement successfully convened its Sub-Regional
Meeting on 15 March 2025 at New Era College, bringing together ward
chairpersons, party leaders, and members to deliberate on governance,
voter mobilization, and election strategies ahead of the 2026 Local Elections.
The meeting was marked by robust discussions, strategic planning, and a
shared commitment to strengthening the movement’s presence across all
municipalities where it will be contesting.
The session was officially opened with a prayer by Bishop Ximixoni, setting the
tone for a productive engagement. Mr. Chauke Musa then welcomed all
delegates, emphasizing the significance of unity, discipline, and dedication
to the ideals of the Able Leadership Movement. Following the welcome,
ward chairpersons took the stage to present reports on the work done in their
respective wards. These reports highlighted key achievements, challenges
faced, and ongoing efforts to enhance the movement’s visibility and support
base at the grassroots level.
Mr. D Baloyi addressed the issue of membership, providing clarity on the
different types of memberships available and outlining the process for joining
and maintaining good standing within the movement. He stressed the
importance of structured and organized membership to ensure a strong,
credible political force heading into the elections. The Secretary General of
Able Leadership then delivered a comprehensive briefing on IEC voter
registration, detailing strategies to maximize the number of registered voters
in all municipalities where the movement will be participating. The
importance of increasing voter registration was underscored as a critical
factor in securing electoral victory, particularly in municipalities where Able
Leadership is aiming to govern.
Deputy Party Leader Comrade Muthubi presented the movement’s strategic
approach to the 2026 Local Elections, emphasizing the need for each ward
to have two dedicated delegates responsible for mobilizing and recruiting
more members. He highlighted the importance of securing the majority vote and ensuring that Able Leadership remains a formidable political force in
every contested municipality. His address was followed by a report from
Vhembe District Chairperson, Mr. Singo, who provided insights into the
recently held strategic meeting at Hazyview Cabanas Resort in Mpumalanga
from 10 to 14 March 2025. The report outlined the key resolutions taken to
strengthen the movement’s structures, refine campaign strategies, and build
a solid foundation for electoral success.
Able Leadership Marketing Partners also took the platform to share progress
on the media and marketing initiatives undertaken so far. They outlined their
plans moving forward, which include aggressive outreach campaigns, media
engagements, and digital strategies aimed at expanding the movement’s
influence.
The meeting was further enriched by vibrant discussions, where members
sought clarifications and shared insights on various political and
organizational matters. Key issues raised included voter mobilization
techniques, countering opposition tactics, and ensuring that every eligible
supporter of Able Leadership is fully registered and prepared to vote in 2026.

passionate message, urging all members to intensify their recruitment efforts
and strengthen the movement’s presence across all wards. He emphasized
