DEAR COMMUNITY MEMBERS

Residents in Gauteng should brace themselves for reduced water supply as Rand Water planned maintenance work this winter. Please note that numerous City of Ekurhuleni including our ward will be affected by the maintenance work.

Rand Water has scheduled the following phases for the planned works:

Phase 01: 107 hours
(estimated 5 days with dry taps and it could take up to 14 days for taps to go back to normal).

Phase 02: 10 hours

Phase 03: 12 hours

Phase 04: 50 hours

Water Maintenance will start from Thursday, 29 May 2025.

The City of Ekurhuleni will provide tankers to communities throughout this period.

The Office however urges community members to find alternative means to store water prior to the 29th.

Ekurhuleni ANC Chief Whip Ald Pelisa Nkunjana kicked off her week-long oversight programme at the Thembisa PCO yesterday. She was accompanied by Tembisa Ward Councillors and the PCO management.

She will be heading to other PCOs in the metro everyday until Friday.
