🚨 SSOP NPC NEEDS MORE COMMUNITY FIRST RESPONDERS! 🚨

📍 FLORIDA • ROODEPOORT • KRUGERSDORP

Our communities are growing, and so is the need for residents who care and are willing to step forward, get involved and make a difference.

SSOP NPC is looking for committed community members across Florida, Roodepoort and Krugersdorp who want to protect, serve and support the communities we all live in. ❤️

No previous experience or training is required.
SSOP NPC will provide the relevant training, guidance and support you need to become part of our Community First Responder team.

If you're someone who believes in:

❤️ THE PEOPLE BEHIND SSOP NPC

Behind SSOP NPC are ordinary residents, just like you.

We are mothers, fathers, business owners, employees and community members. We have families, jobs and everyday responsibilities — and we live in the same communities we serve.

We volunteer our time without remuneration because we genuinely care about where we live and the people around us.

Many of us have undergone training, and we continue to learn, train and develop ourselves so that we can better assist and serve our fellow residents when they need us.

SSOP NPC also self-funds a significant portion of its operations, while our volunteers regularly contribute from their own pockets towards fuel, equipment, resources and other expenses needed to keep serving our community.

We do this for one reason: we want to help make the communities we all live in safer and better places for everyone.

And this is why your donations mean so much to us. Every contribution helps SSOP cover some of its operational costs and allows us to continue doing the work we are passionate about.

We are simply residents helping residents — giving our time, skills and resources because we care about the place we all call home.

Because of your incredible donations and support, almost 100 community first responders received valuable training today from Gauteng Emergency Medical Services in First Response and EMS Support.

Your contributions helped make today possible and, more importantly, helped equip people in our community with skills that can save lives when every second counts.

🚑 FIRST RESPONDER & FIRST AID TRAINING – TODAY

SSOP NPC, together with Gauteng Emergency Medical Services, is proud to be hosting a valuable First Responder & First Aid Training Day today.

The training brings together members from across our community, including:

🚑 Other community first responders

🟢 MISSING ELDERLY RESIDENT LOCATED SAFE

At approximately 00:22 this morning, SSOP OCC received an urgent report of a missing elderly woman who had left her residence on foot. Her family advised that she appeared disorientated and were extremely concerned for her safety.

SSOP OCC immediately obtained a description and issued a lookout request to BAS Secure Command Centre. SSOP responders also joined the search, while the family continued searching the surrounding areas.

At 01:33, BAS Secure confirmed that HA1 had located the missing woman and was safely with her.

SSOP OCC immediately contacted the family to confirm that she had been found and that responders were on scene assisting her.

From the initial report to being located safe in just over an hour, this is another example of what can be achieved through quick reporting, coordination and teamwork.

👏 Well done to BAS Secure HA1, BAS Secure Command Centre, SSOP responders, the SSOP OCC team and everyone involved in bringing this incident to a safe conclusion.

🚨 BREAK-IN DISRUPTED | APPELBLAAR STREET, RANGEVIEW

At approximately 03:36 this morning, the SSOP Operations Coordination Centre (OCC) was alerted by a resident to a break-in in progress in Appelblaar Street, Rangeview.

The OCC immediately coordinated a response from SAPS Krugersdorp and our security partners. Thanks to an excellent response, SAPS and Bhekani Abantu Security arrived on scene within minutes.

Although the suspect managed to flee, they left the property empty-handed.

The property owners were not at home at the time, and SSOP OCC immediately began working through various means to identify and contact them.

After SAPS had attended and later left the scene, Bhekani Abantu Security remained at the property to safeguard the premises and the owners' belongings while SSOP OCC continued trying to reach the owners. Piquant Security joined later in the morning to assist by standing off at the scene.

After more than four hours, SSOP OCC successfully managed to get hold of the property owners, who attended the premises. SAPS Krugersdorp then returned to the property when the owners arrived so that a criminal case could be opened.

This incident once again demonstrates the value of residents reporting incidents immediately and effective coordination between community safety partners and law enforcement.

👏 Well done to the alert resident, SAPS Krugersdorp, Bhekani Abantu Security, Piquant Security and the SSOP OCC team for the coordinated response.

🌷 HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY 🌷

To all the incredible women in our SSOP family and throughout the communities we serve — we wish you a very Happy Women’s Day.

Today is simply an opportunity for us to say thank you.

Thank you for the roles you play in our families, our workplaces and our community. Thank you for the strength you show, the support you give and, very often, for being the people who quietly keep everything together.

We are also incredibly proud of the women within SSOP who give up their own time to serve our community. Whether you are responding to an emergency, assisting in the OCC, supporting an operation or helping behind the scenes, you are an important part of who we are and what we have built together.

To every mother, wife, partner, daughter, sister, colleague and friend in our community — we hope that today you know just how appreciated you are.
