In a special way, we would like to commend the dynamic leadership of the DPP, under Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, for the decision to deploy the Road Traffic team to assist Malawians in South Africa with essential services such as the renewal of driving licences.

This initiative, the first of its kind, demonstrates a strong commitment to addressing the needs of Malawians in the diaspora and ensuring that critical services are more accessible without the need to travel back home.

DPP Diaspora RSA Wing Recruitment Director, Mrs. Thandiwe Lanjesi Teffu, recently visited the Malawi Consulate Offices in Sunninghill and expressed her appreciation for the initiative, noting that it is not only convenient but also cost-saving for many Malawians.

It is our hope that this initiative will be sustained and expanded to reach more provinces in South Africa, as well as other Malawian communities across the diaspora.

Tadikira Mutharika, son of Malawi President Arthur Peter Mutharika, arrived in Liwonde today to celebrate with the Muslim community.

The event, which took place at Mandaline Ground, attracted a large and enthusiastic crowd. It was also graced by the presence of Hon. Chifundo Makande, Member of Parliament for the Balaka Rivirivi Constituency.

As part of the festivities and in preparation for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr celebrations, food items were distributed to support and uplift members of the community.

The occasion reflected a strong spirit of unity, generosity, and shared joy as people prepared for the blessed Eid period.

Boma la Peter Mutharika kudzera ku Reserve Bank of Malawi ndi Ofesi ya Mlembi Wamkulu wa Mabungwe Azachuma (Registrar of Financial Institutions), lalengeza kuti latseka (freeze) ndalama zokwana K72.6 biliyoni zomwe zikukhudzana ndi kugula kwa Amaryllis Hotel.

The Member of Parliament for Ntcheu Central East, Norman Chisale, has donated 21 bicycles to health workers in his constituency to improve healthcare services.

Chisale said the goal is to help health workers reach communities more easily and ensure better delivery of health services. He also revealed plans to donate motorcycles soon to further support their work.

Meanwhile, Isaac Siwande, a senior official at Ntcheu District Hospital, welcomed the donation, saying the bicycles will help health workers access remote areas more efficiently, especially as they prepare to begin the upcoming Polio vaccination campaign.

The DPP Diaspora RSA Wing has dismissed as false and malicious reports suggesting that South African anti-migrant group Dudula is calling for President Arthur Peter Mutharika to seek medical attention outside the country.

In a statement released over the weekend, Publicity Secretary, Akefe Sukali Mviza, described the claims as malicious propaganda fabricated to damage the President's image.

"We note with regret that some Malawians are busy creating and spreading propaganda to achieve their political goals by tarnishing the good leadership of His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika," Mviza said.

He clarified that there is no truth to reports of Dudula protesting against the President's private visit to South Africa, adding that such allegations have no basis in a democratic society.

"People need to be fed with truth," he emphasized.

Mviza has since called on all Malawians in the diaspora to protect the country's image, defend its sovereignty, and uphold the Constitution at all times.

He further added that the president is focused on resuscitating the social and economic fortunes of the country that were rock bottom due to mismanagement by the past regime. Hence, needed support of all everyone

The Member of Parliament for Machinga Mikoko Constituency, Jafali M***a, has passed away.
The death has been confirmed by the Chairperson of the Machinga District Council, Steve Mkwatula, who said Mr. M***a died on Friday after a short illness.

According to Mr. Mkwatula, the late MP fell ill while traveling to his home in Blantyre. He was rushed to hospital for medical attention, where doctors later confirmed his death.

Mr. M***a was serving as a Member of Parliament under the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and was known in his constituency for his involvement in development initiatives and community affairs.

His death has come as a shock to residents of Machinga Mikoko and the wider political community.

Messages of condolence are expected from political leaders, party officials, and members of the public as the nation mourns the loss.
