MAYOR MODISE VISITS REPAIRED WATER TRANSFORMER IN SHONGOANE 2

The Mayor of Lephalale Local Municipality, Cllr Thabitha Modise, accompanied by the Water Department technicians responsible for the villages, visited one of the water transformers in Shongoane 2 that had previously been vandalised.

The vandalism had disrupted the municipality’s ability to supply water to the community of Shongoane 2. The transformer has since been repaired, and water supply has been successfully restored.

During the visit, the Mayor monitored the system and verified that water was flowing from community taps.

Mayor Modise appealed to community members to refrain from vandalising municipal infrastructure and urged residents to act as custodians of public property.
