Remembering a very special soul and my Forest mentor - Hynie Tredoux of Outeniqua Forest Ramblers . I am so grateful to have had the privilege of being trained as a Forest Guide by Hynie . A life well lived and through him , an appreciation and love of the fascinating Forest world fostered in school children across South Africa . He will be missed. I like to think Hynie is now walking his beloved Forests , pain free , beside Mrs Matthee and young , brave Jana Smit .
