We would like to thank and appreciate ALL our Health Promoters in the district, who ensure that communities are mobilized, educated and encouraged to use different health services.

Health Promotion is a critical area of health provision that seeks to ensure that our clients make better decisions regarding their health and overall wellness.

From Tswelelang, Wolmaransstad to Jouberton, Klerksdorp, to Ikageng, Potchefstroom, and all the way to Tshing, Ventersdorp.

Health messages are carried through to communities by these officials for the benefit of our collective wellbeing.

From outreach campaigns to in-facility health education, they ensure that accurate information is shared.

The Khuma Clinic, led by Sr Mokhele, recently had their facility Open Day and commemoration of Women's Month with various activities.

Activities included a March Against GBV, Health Talk on Autism, GBV statistics by SAPS, Hand Hygiene demonstration and the introduction of a new Clinic Committee.

Residents are encouraged to fully use health services available to them in our different facilities for healthier communities.

*Breastfeeding Awareness at Jouberton CHC*

The Jouberton CHC hosted a special Breastfeeding Awareness Event, bringing together mothers, pregnant women and the community to learn, share and celebrate the importance of breastfeeding.

From the benefits of breastfeeding and immunisation to HIV testing and fun educational activities, the day was all about empowering families with knowledge and support for healthier mothers and babies.

The district quarterly Operation Phuthuma meeting is currently on its second and last day. The intention is to accelerate and improve efforts into ensuring that our communities make use of our different levels of health services to improve their lives and overall wellbeing.

Communities are still greatly encouraged to ensure that their children are fully immunised and on the same breath, screen, test, start and stay on treatment.

The Grace Mokhomo CHC, led by Mr Bakwena Thomas Toodi Bakwena recently hosted a meaningful Women’s Day celebration centred on empowerment, wellness, unity, gratitude and purpose.

The programme brought staff together to reflect on the strength and resilience of women, while honouring their invaluable contribution to families, communities and the healthcare sector.
