Gender-based violence is a major social issue that needs to be addressed with a holistic approach. Ending violence in our community is the responsibility of the whole community and it is significant that men and boys are active participants and promoters of change and push back against the current status quo.
This boyz 2 Brothers Programme encourages young and adolescent boys and men to actively be involved in breaking the cycle of abuse and violence, combating not only the individual instances of violence but also the systemic form.
This is a men's programme that specifically targets men and boys, educating them on issues of Gender-Based Violence, gender norms, masculinity, as well as patriarchy.
The Boyz 2 Brothers Programme is where young and adolescent boys will be mentored by older men that are part of the LifeLine Brothers for Life Programme. The boys will attend sessions that speak to building self-esteem, gender, sexuality, gender-based violence, stigma & discrimination among other relevant topics.
