MEC Bonginkosi Dhlamini joined the vibrant Rand Easter Show as part of the ongoing Easter Holiday festivities, accompanied by officials from both his office and the Department.

The visit forms part of government’s efforts to engage with communities, showcase services, and connect meaningfully with the public during this festive period.

MEC has encouraged members of the public to come out in their numbers tomorrow and Monday to be part of the experience and enjoy the wide range of activities on offer.

The Department of e-Government will be hosting a Youth Tech Expo at Kagiso Hall in the West Rand

The expo will provide opportunities focused on ICT skills development and the empowerment of young people for the digital future.

MEC Bonginkosi Dhlamini will deliver the keynote address at the event to be held on 5-6 February 2026.

Today, the country launched the first day of 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women & Children campaign, which is held between 25 November until 10 December every year.

Our MEC, Bonginkosi Dhlamini joined members of the Executive Committe at Orlando Community Hall, in Soweto.

The programme brought together government, civil society and communities to strengthen the fight against violence towards women and children.
Premier Panyaza Lesufi reaffirmed the province’s commitment to combating gender-based violence.

MEC for the Department of e-Government, Bonginkosi Dhlamini held the last Youth Tech Expo for the year at Kibler Park, south of Johannesburg today

The MEC encouraged the youth to make use of opportunities that our stakeholders offer, and to utilise the Gauteng Broadband Network to access government services through the free WiFi that the department has been rolling out in various corridors of the province.
