AHC GAUTENG REGION HOLDS SUCCESSFUL STRATEGIC MEETING AHEAD OF 2026 LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS

The African Heart Congress (AHC), led by its President Mr. Moloko Michael Mpolobosho, successfully convened its Gauteng Regional Meeting today in Johannesburg as part of the organisation’s ongoing preparations for the 2026 Local Government Elections.

The meeting brought together regional leadership, branch representatives and members to assess organisational readiness, political positioning, and campaign preparedness in Gauteng. The discussions were constructive, disciplined and focused on strengthening the movement at grassroots level.

Key matters discussed included the urgent finalisation and submission of councillor candidate lists, strengthening ward and municipal structures, and intensifying community-based political work. Members reaffirmed their commitment to building a strong, credible and people-centred alternative in local government.

The meeting further endorsed the AHC 2026 campaign slogan:
β€œRestoring the Dignity of the People.”
This slogan reflects the organisation’s commitment to ethical leadership, accountable governance, service delivery, and the restoration of dignity to communities that continue to suffer from unemployment, poor service delivery and corruption.

The African Heart Congress believes that local government is the frontline of service delivery and community development. It is at this level where people experience the direct impact of government, and where political leadership must be visible, responsive and accountable.

AHC Gauteng Region resolved to intensify mobilisation efforts, strengthen internal structures, and deepen community engagement across townships, informal settlements and inner-city communities in the province. The movement remains confident that its growing support base and disciplined organisational approach position it strongly for the 2026 Local Government Elections.

The African Heart Congress thanks all members who attended and contributed to the success of today’s meeting and calls on all supporters to continue working together to build a united, disciplined and people-driven organisation.

Forward to 2026 Victory!

✨🟑 AHC CONDEMNS THE TRAGIC KILLING OF DJ WARRAS 🟑✨

Release date:
🟑 21 December 2025

✨🟑 The African Heart Congress (AHC) is deeply shocked and saddened by the senseless killing of renowned radio DJ Warrick Robert Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras. This heinous act of violence has robbed our nation of a vibrant voice in the entertainment industry β€” a talented individual who brought joy and inspiration to countless South Africans through his music and broadcasts.

🟑✨ We extend our heartfelt condolences to DJ Warras’ family, friends, colleagues, and fans during this incredibly difficult time. No words can adequately express the pain of such a loss, and we stand in solidarity with all those mourning this tragedy.

✨🟑 The AHC strongly condemns this brutal crime and calls upon law enforcement authorities to swiftly investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice. Violence has no place in our society, and we must work together to ensure the safety and security of every citizen, regardless of profession or background.

🟑✨ However, we are deeply disturbed by attempts from various quarters to politicize this heartbreaking incident. The death of DJ Warras should not be exploited to score political points or advance partisan agendas. Such actions dishonor his memory and distract from the real issues of crime and violence affecting our communities β€” including crimes committed by those who illegally hijack government buildings to commit criminal acts and unlawfully enrich themselves.

✨🟑 We urge all South Africans, including political leaders and commentators, to refrain from using this tragedy for personal or political gain and instead focus on unity, healing, and collective efforts to combat crime.

🟑 The African Heart Congress remains committed to building a safer, more just South Africa for all.
