As the world moves toward green energy, the demand for rare and high tech minerals is growing fast. These minerals are used in electric cars, wind turbines and batteries. But now companies are starting to look under the sea to mine the seabed for these same minerals.

This new rush could come at a terrible cost. The deep ocean is one of the least explored places on earth, yet it is full of life and mystery. Many of the creatures living there have never even been discovered. Mining the seabed could destroy these fragile habitats forever.
