Time flies.

70 years ago, on 4 November 1956, clocks in the US were turned back by one hour as Daylight Saving Time came to an end.

One hour. One turn of the clock. But it is a useful reminder: going backwards is easy. Moving forward takes a decision. In exactly 70 days, on 4 November 2026, the people of the Eastern Cape will have a far more important choice to make.

We can accept more of the same and watch our province fall further behind. Or we can choose a different direction IF WE VOTE FOR IT.

On 4 November, do we go backwards, or do we move forward?
