7 June 2026 – HDCSA Durban Sunday Ride 🏍️☀️

Today’s original destination was supposed to be Kuta-Kola, but after being informed they don’t take bookings and would likely be full after 9:00am, it was agreed at the meeting point to change the venue to Hops, Ballito.

Unfortunately, there was a little hiccup along the way — the venue change message was not posted on the WhatsApp group, and Flip & Barbara headed to the original venue by car and kindly kept tables for us. By the time they phoned to find out where we were, we had already ordered our food at Hops.

As they say… “sh*t happens” 💩🧻🚽— but a new rule has now been put in place to make sure this doesn’t happen again in future rides.

Despite the mix-up, we had a great turnout today with 9 riders, 3 pillions, and Flip & Barbara supporting by car at the original venue. Thanks to everyone who joined and made the day memorable! 🏍️🔥

After months of suspense, the Ace of Spades was finally found!

A special thank you to Michelle and the Dixon family for initiating this game and for your commitment every month. Because of your dedication, another R5 800 has also gone into the Club’s ACE–DUCE Fund 👏 We are planning to use this fund towards a Club Family Braai.

At the June General Meeting, our Sergeant-at-Arms Flip was in no mood for excuses! 😂📱💸

Poor John Pelucci got fined for using his phone during the meeting… clearly forgetting that when Flip is watching, there are no second chances! 👀🤣

Rumour has it even checking the time counts as suspicious activity when Flip is on duty. Well done John — thank you for contributing to the club entertainment fund! 🍻
