💚💛🖤Greetings in Solidarity, CPUT students,💚💛🖤

SASCO extends its warm greetings to the entire student community. We write to provide an important update on the ongoing accommodation challenges facing our institution.

In response to the urgent housing crisis, SASCO has taken decisive action to ensure that no student is left stranded or forced to sleep outside while CPUT works to finalise placement processes. Through our interventions, temporary accommodation has been secured for affected students at Adowa Living Residence, Ekhaya Residence, and Rise Student Living.

These developments represent a crucial step toward restoring dignity and stability for students who have been placed in an extremely difficult position.

It must be noted that the accreditation and administrative processes for these residences are still underway, and engagements with relevant stakeholders remain ongoing to ensure long-term solutions.

Students who applied through private accommodation are encouraged to remain patient as discussions continue and further progress is made.

We recognise the frustration and uncertainty many students have experienced. SASCO remains committed to advocating relentlessly until every student has access to safe and secure accommodation.
