Joint inspection with Umgungundlovu District Municipality of the Mahleka area water reservoir. This area is currently under Ward 105 that is demarcated to be part of Mkhambathini after the November election as Ward 10. This community has reported that they have been without running water ever since they moved to eThekwini Municipality in 2016. The District inspected the water infrastructure and will now engage with eThekwini Municipality for a handover process.

We have concluded the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and budget consultations, which included residents from the new Wards of eThekwini Municipality’s Ward 105. This inclusion will increase the Wards from 7 to 10. Our councillors will increase from 14 to 19 after the upcoming November elections.
