A Cross-marked Whip Snake ( Psammophis crucifer). Nocturnal species which feeds mainly on small lizards, especially skinks as well as frogs. When disturbed it rolls into a tight coil with it's head inside, this is just a mildly venomous snake and it is harmless/possesses no threat to humans even though it can give a slightly painful bite.
