Food safety is fundamental to protecting public health, strengthening food security, and building sustainable agricultural systems.

Observed under the theme "From burden to solutions – safe food everywhere," World Food Safety Day 2026 highlights the need for practical solutions, innovation, and collaboration to reduce food safety risks across the food value chain.

From the farm to the consumer, safe food practices contribute to healthier communities, stronger economies, and a more resilient agricultural sector.

At Land Bank, we remain committed to supporting South Africa's agricultural sector through development-focused financial solutions that enable sustainable farming and strengthen food systems for future generations.
