Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School students have been praying for and raising funds to support those affected by the tragedy at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis.

For weeks, our students gathered in prayer and ran a donut fundraiser to support this vital cause and to show that we are united in hope and healing!

Emely G. (‘26) and Yoselin F. (‘26), House Council leaders, were proud to lead this initiative. Yoselin told us, “I can’t imagine the pain that Annunciation suffered, and we at DBCR have been praying for their students. We hope that these funds might be a sign of our love for their community. Here at DBCR, our Salesian values shine within and outside of our communities, this is who God calls us to be.”

I recently had the honor of giving the keynote address at the ACE - Alliance for Catholic Education end-of-summer event - what an inspiring collection of educators!!

The Cohort was hard at work preparing to provide a high-quality, joy-filled Catholic education to children from low-income families across the country this coming school year. We're proud to have had a number of amazing ACE teachers at Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School over the years!

Thank you to the University of Notre Dame for hosting me and for a great visit!

Today is the anniversary of my mom’s birth into eternal life. I know she is in Heaven with my dad and all the saints having a blast and praying for us all. May we remember and emulate her commitment to learn from, and be with, those on the margins.
