Christine Houk, Grove City Council Christine Houk - Member of Council, Grove City - Ward 3. Paid for by Houk for Council. I graduated from Capital University with a B.A. in Accounting.

As your Ward 3 City Council representative, I am using my strong leadership background, track record of collaboration and innovation, and ability to communicate and build consensus to bring fresh perspectives and new ideas to the decision-making process in our community. In 2001, my husband and I opened an accounting firm in Grove City, and for over a decade, I also ran a smaller company which pro

vided bookkeeping and administrative support to area small businesses. Our offices are located in the Historic Town Center of Grove City. I have been an active member of our church and school communities, serving on parent-teacher organizations and school board, chairing fundraisers, and generally pitching in wherever needed. I have served as the Board of Trustees President for Grove City Town Center, Inc. in 2008 and 2010. I chaired the inaugural 2009 and 2010 Mistletoe Markets. For three years, I served on the board of the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce. I have chaired the Chamber’s WE:LEAD, Education, and Chamber Foundation Fundraiser committees. I conceptualized the now annual Women’s Business Forum. Additionally, I currently serve on the Board of Trustees for the South-Western City Schools Educational Foundation, where I also fill the office of Treasurer, chair of the Finance Committee, and member of the Development Committee. I was appointed to serve on the City of Grove City’s Racetrack Redevelopment Committee in 2015 and the Charter Review Committee in 2016. On City Council, I have served as Safety Chair, Finance Chair, and I currently serve as Council President. I am a member of the Jo Ann Davidson Ohio Leadership Institute, Ohio Women in Government, Grove City Area Republican Club, and Franklin County GOP Central Committee. In 1994, my husband Allen and I chose to move to Grove City to raise our family. Our son Cameron is in his final year of veterinary medicine at the University of Minnesota, and our daughter Alyson is an attorney working for the Department of Justice. Our 9-year-old golden retriever, Lilly, goes to work with us every day. She has a new golden baby sister named Violet. (She’s not sure what she thinks of her yet. 😉) Stop by and see them any time!
