An eco-literacy knowledge session series organized by EarthHoppers , supported by Bangladesh Youth Environmental Initiative
and partnered with university earth clubs across Bangladesh.

Through 5–7 interactive sessions conducted by environmental experts, participants will explore key grassroots topics of enviornment and climate change such as:

The Triple Planetary Crisis,Biodiversity & Conservation, Planetary Boundaries, Planetary stewardship, Eco system restoration, Nature Based Solution, Agriculture and Food System discourse through enviornmental lense and More.....

📌 Who can join?
Open for all students aged 18–25 from any university/college across Bangladesh.

🌍✨ GSTU Earth Club School Outreach – Recycle for a Better Tomorrow!

পহেলা সেপ্টেম্বর GSTU Earth Club আয়োজন করেছিল রুস্তম আলী চৌধুরী স্কুল এন্ড কলেজ-এ একটি সুন্দর ও সফল school outreach program, দুপুর ২ টা থেকে ৩:৩০ মিনিট পর্যন্ত। শিক্ষার্থীদের সাথে রিসাইক্লিং নিয়ে আলোচনা এবং তাদের মধ্যে পরিবেশ সচেতনতা সৃষ্টি করাই ছিল মূল উদ্দেশ্য।
আমাদের স্পিকাররা শিক্ষার্থীদের সঙ্গে আলোচনা করেছেন নিচের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়গুলোতে—

1️⃣ রিসাইক্লিং কি এবং কেন প্রয়োজন
রিসাইক্লিং হলো ব্যবহৃত জিনিসপত্র যেমন কাগজ, প্লাস্টিক, ধাতু, কাচ ইত্যাদিকে পুনঃপ্রক্রিয়াজাত করে আবার ব্যবহারযোগ্য করে তোলা। এটি প্রাকৃতিক সম্পদ রক্ষা করে, বর্জ্য কমায়, পরিবেশ দূষণ কমায় এবং আমাদের পৃথিবীকে টেকসই রাখে।

2️⃣ রিসাইক্লিং প্রক্রিয়া ও ধরন
সংগ্রহ: ব্যবহৃত জিনিসপত্র আলাদা করা।
বাছাই: ধাতু, কাগজ, প্লাস্টিক আলাদা করা।
প্রক্রিয়াজাতকরণ: পুনঃব্যবহারের জন্য উপযুক্ত আকারে রূপান্তর।
নতুন পণ্য তৈরি: প্রক্রিয়াজাত জিনিসপত্র ব্যবহার করে নতুন পণ্য তৈরি।

3️⃣ বাংলাদেশে রিসাইক্লিং করার সংকট ও সমাধান
বাংলাদেশে যথাযথ বর্জ্য ব্যবস্থাপনা এবং সচেতনতার অভাবের কারণে রিসাইক্লিং এখনও সীমিত। সমাধান হিসেবে স্কুল-কলেজে শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে পরিবেশ সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি, সরকারি ও বেসরকারি উদ্যোগ, এবং সহজলভ্য রিসাইক্লিং সুবিধা নিশ্চিত করা জরুরি।

4️⃣ দৈনন্দিন জীবনে রিসাইক্লিং এর ভূমিকা
প্রতিদিনের জীবনে ছোট ছোট পদক্ষেপ যেমন প্লাস্টিক ব্যাগের পরিবর্তে কাপড়ের ব্যাগ ব্যবহার, পুনঃব্যবহারযোগ্য বোতল ও জিনিস ব্যবহার, এবং বর্জ্য আলাদা করে রাখা, পরিবেশকে সুরক্ষিত রাখতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখে।

5️⃣ রিসাইক্লিং এর সুফল ও ভবিষ্যৎ
রিসাইক্লিং পরিবেশ দূষণ কমায়, সম্পদ সাশ্রয় করে, অর্থনৈতিক সুবিধা দেয়, এবং আমাদের ভবিষ্যত প্রজন্মকে একটি সবুজ ও টেকসই উন্নয়নমূলক পৃথিবী উপহার দেয়। 🌱
শিশুদের আগ্রহ, প্রশ্ন আর হাসি পুরো পরিবেশটাকে প্রাণবন্ত করে তোলে। কুইজে বিজয়ী শিক্ষার্থীদের হাতে তুলে দেওয়া হয় সবুজ গাছ—যা ভবিষ্যতের প্রতি তাদের দায়বদ্ধতার প্রতীক। 💚

GSTU Earth Club সবসময় পরিবেশ প্রতি জনসচেতনতা, পরিবর্তন ও উন্নয়ন করার জন্য কাজ করতে অঙ্গীকারবদ্ধ। নতুন প্রজন্মকে পরিবেশবান্ধব পৃথিবী উপহার দিতে নিরন্তর কাজ করে যাচ্ছ।

The knowledge session on 'Environmental Struggles of Women, the Poor, and Indigenous Communities ' was held successfully with the spontaneous support of thirteen other Earth Clubs and partner organizations. Their collective efforts truly made this possible.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Khalid Hossain Sir (Research Fellow, Monash University) for sharing his valuable time and insights, and to everyone who engaged in the discussion. This session once again reminds us that women, the poor, and Indigenous peoples—who contribute the least to environmental degradation—often endure its harshest impacts at the grassroots level.
